• The old solution would be to find a $50 desktop hub, cascade it off the switch, and use the increased port capacity for your immediate needs. Then purchase another expensive switch to meet user capacity.

• With REPort you would look up the specific switch on the formatted html page and see that "Fast Ethernet 0/9" hasn't been active in 75 days. Even though it is already patched somewhere, REPort shows it as a stagnant patch that can be disconnected. You simply unplug the old patch and re-patch it to the conference room port.
